Naples is a world class shopping, dining, and golfing town. Southwest Florida’s crown jewel. It is situated along the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Naples is for people who love sitting on the beach and watching the waves go in and out. The best beaches and the calmest seas allow for extreme relaxation. If looking for the best wave to surf on, Naples is not the place for you; I would try the west coast. Naples Florida is the home to some of the most luxurious waterfront estates and condos. It also offers the chance of a lifetime to see some of the most luxurious vehicles that have ever come off the assembly line, from Rolls Royce’s to Mercedes and Beamers.
As a birthday gift my grandparents give me a surprise trip to some place I haven’t been before. They have been doing this since I turned 10. Naples was my 13th birthday gift, we went on spring break in seventh grade. The start of the trip was fine, no airport drama even though my parents weren’t with me. When arriving in Naples, we got our luggage and went to the rental car company to get the car we would use on the vacation. You know that this place is high class and that you aren’t in Philly anymore when a choice for a rental car is a Bentley sedan. Unfortunately it turned out to not be one of our options. When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing we saw was a Bentley. The owner was giving the keys to the valet. This person was wearing baggy old shorts and sun-bleached t-shirt. Having seen the owner, I discovered that you can never tell who someone is and what they have unless you see it for yourself. The next couple days it was Bentley after Bentley
, no exotic cars except the occasional Ferrari and Lamborghini. I enjoy cars, so it was a real treat to be surrounded by some real beauties. Ones you don’t see much at home. If you do see one, it’s probably cause you caught someone’s garage door going up or down. What I consider an extravagant car were just the vehicles Naples locals use to go to the food store.Naples Florida may be a vacation town but is not for the thrill seeker at heart, rather it is for someone who is laid back and enjoys the relaxing kind of vacation. It’s the kind of trip where you get in the car and take in some sights. Like I said, I enjoyed the cars I saw and we also went around looking at the magnificent mansions that lined the coast. If headed to Naples, keep in mind that you will spend most of the time at the pool/ beach relaxing. I would recommend brining a good book. Looking back , I think I read 2 books there. 2 books in 1 week is not something you’ll catch me doing often. I truly enjoyed Naples with my Grandparent, but after 9 days, I was more than happy to go back home to my parents and little sister.
